What are the dates for Summit at Sea 2016?

Wednesday, November 9 to Saturday, November 12
 

Do I need a passport in order to board the ship?

Yes. In order to board the ship, you must present a valid passport as part of your pre-boarding security screening at the Port of Miami. No one will be able to board without a passport - no exceptions. 



In order to board, you will need:

  1. Valid Passport (cannot expire prior to 11/30/16)

  2. All Visa, Green Card, and immigration documentation for non-US citizens. Please speak to your local  consulate regarding proper documentation to travel in the US and Bahamas.

  3. Your Summit at Sea boarding confirmation. We will send this to you a few weeks prior to the event via email.

  4. Any medication and other important personal items needed for multi-day travel.

When should I arrive in Miami?

We recommend arriving no later than 2p on Wednesday, November 9. This arrival time will ensure ample time for you to embark, get settled, and dive into the first day's programming. 

 

What airport should I fly into?

We recommend flying into Miami International Airport (MIA) which is a 20 minute drive from the Port of Miami or Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL), a 60 minute drive from the Port of Miami.


Are there pre and post events taking place in Miami? 

Yes! We will have an informal meet and greet opportunity on Tuesday, November 8 and a formal post-event on the evening of  November 12. We recommend a Sunday, November 13 departure for those who wish to partake in the post-event experience. 

 

Do you have recommended hotels in Miami?

We recommend booking a room in the South Beach area for those participating in our pre-event meet up and post-event as it will offer easy access to our programming. For those just sailing with us, we recommend hotels in close proximity to the Port of Miami. 

 

When should I depart from Miami?

We recommend booking flights no earlier than 1p on Saturday, November 12 to ensure ample time to disembark and head to the airport. If you wish to join us for post-event programming in Miami on Saturday evening, we recommend a Sunday, November 13 departure.
 


Attention: Samsung Galaxy Note7 Policy

In light of recent safety issues with the Samsung Galaxy Note7, we are asking our guests who own this model to please avoid traveling with this mobile device.  The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has banned the Samsung Galaxy Note7 from all air travel, and until further notice, this device will be restricted from all Norwegian Cruise Line ships. 

Fire is one of the greatest threats at sea, and due to the safety concerns these devices present, if one is found in a guest’s possession or unattended in a state room on board, our policy instructs the crew to confiscate the device for safekeeping. The phone will remain in our possession, in a safe, monitored location, for the duration of the cruise. Guests can reclaim their device at the conclusion of the cruise from the reception desk. We need your assistance in communicating our new policy regarding the Samsung Galaxy Note7 to your guests. This Policy is effective immediately.
